Tasbih Terms of Service

1. Introduction
Tasbih is a Muslim literary journal dedicated to poetry, prose, and reflective writing that aligns with Islamic belief and ethics. Our goal is to provide a thoughtful, faith-rooted platform for writers of all experience levels to share their work.

By submitting to or interacting with Tasbih, you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility & Submission Rules

• Submissions must be original, unpublished, and created by a human.

• Work must align with Islamic principles. Tasbih does not publish content that goes against Allah, promotes shirk, contains blasphemy, explicit sexual language, curse words, or hateful speech.

• Contributors may submit to multiple outlets simultaneously, but must notify Tasbih if the piece is accepted elsewhere.

• Maximum submissions: 3 poems per contributor at a time; prose or flash fiction: 500–1,000 words.

• Tasbih accepts submissions for monthly themed issues; response time is typically 2–3 weeks.

3. Rights & Copyright

• Tasbih requests first publication rights and the right to archive accepted work on its website.

• All other rights remain with the contributor and revert fully after publication.

• If a piece is reprinted elsewhere, we kindly ask that Tasbih be credited as the original publisher.

4. Editorial Discretion

• Tasbih reserves the right to accept or reject any submission.

• Minor edits for clarity, grammar, or flow may be applied, always respecting the contributor’s voice.

5. Use for Promotion

• By submitting work, contributors consent that excerpts or full pieces may be used for promotional purposes, including on the Tasbih website, social media, newsletters, or other platforms associated with the journal.

• Tasbih will always aim to credit the contributor properly when doing so.

6. Disclaimers & Liability

• Opinions expressed in submissions belong to the contributor and do not reflect the views of Tasbih or its editors.

• Tasbih does not guarantee publication, compensation, or payment for submissions.

7. Privacy & Data

• Contact information collected via Substack or submission forms is used solely for editorial communication and newsletter delivery.

8. Changes to Terms

• Tasbih reserves the right to update these terms. Contributors and subscribers will be notified of any significant changes.
